Questions?
Is Natal Support right for me?
Natal Support is formulated with 20 essential nutrients for those who are working on preconception care, currently pregnant or post-partum.
What testing is completed on Natal Support?
Natal Support is tested to ensure what's on the label is contained within the capsules.
Every batch is also 3rd party tested to ensure that our products are compliant with TGA regulations. It is also tested for and certified free from heavy metals, microbes and major allergens to ensure our products are safe.
How much Choline does Natal Support have?
A huge 400mgs per dose - our formulation is one of the highest doses of Choline in the Australian market. Choline is folates new best friend and is important for the neural tube development and brain/ cognitive development of the foetus.
Up to 95% of pregnant women are deficient in choline - which is why we've put a huge focus on this nutrient. Natal Support has got you covered.
Why do we use Activated Folate (levomefolic acid)?
More than 50% of the Australian population have a gene mutation (MTHFR) where the body cannot convert folic acid into Methyl-Folate (most bioavailable form and easily absorbed form). Our formula skips the conversion process to give you the most bioavailable form of folate.
Why doesn’t Natal Support contain iron?
We left iron out of our formulation on purpose! Here are the reasons why:
- Zinc and iron compete for absorption and zinc is a key ingredient for preconception health.
- Iron dosage should be individualised based on your specific pathology and requirements during pregnancy. This is why it's best dosed separately to your Natal Support Supplement.
- We wanted to be inclusive and ensure everyone could take Natal Support, we've left iron out for those with hemochromatosis.
When should I start taking Natal Support?
Ideally, 3 months prior to your conception journey. Otherwise start taking Natal Support as soon as you find out that you're pregnant. You should continue taking Natal Support throughout your breastfeeding journey if you're breastfeeding and 8 weeks post-partum if you're not.
When is the best time of day to take Natal Support?
Ideally two capsules together after breakfast (at least 30 - 60minutes away from caffeine).
You can also split the dose and take 1 capsule after breakfast and 1 capsule after lunch.
A note from our founder - try to avoid taking Natal Support at night due to the B group vitamins - these can promote energy and we want you to have a restful nights sleep.
I’m struggling with pregnancy nausea, is there another way to take Natal Support?
Empty your capsules into your favourite smoothie, mix with coconut water or beverage of choice or freeze into icy poles with coconut water or juice.
Do your capsules have a taste?
No, there is no taste when swallowng the capsules.
